I am getting worse at blogging. Maybe this is only a short term disease, but you never know. I am hoping to keep up with it as much as possible so that people can know what's going on with my life. I shall begin with a few quotes:
" Miss it is time to eat rats."
"What?"
"Yes, it is time to eat rats in China."
"Ok..."
During Spanish class they were reading about Shakespeare. One of the students asked the teacher,
"Do you know Shakespeare?"
My students have also decided that anything having to do with cows is hilarious. So every story and every sentence has the word cow in it. One of my students has decided his last name is "Cow-i" (pronounced cow-y, for those of us who don't speak vowels the same way as the do.)He signs all of his papers this way.
I also have received some great pictures recently in books. Here is one example I got on a science test about electricity (excuse the fact that it's backwards) It says, "I'm Ben Yoder."
In other news the weather has been nice most of the time, it's been a little bit windy and coldish the past few days but usually it's probably in the upper seventies. I am trying to enjoy this before it gets sweltering hot outside.
Lately, God has been reminding me of His promises in my life/our lives. I have been reminded of this in my devotionals as well as in church. If I truly believe in God's character: that he is faithful, just, loving, powerful, a constant friend, a loving father, a lover, and so much more, Why do I doubt what he has told me? If God has promised that he will care for me, that he'll never leave me, that he is working everything together for my good, why do I doubt? I have been filled with a peace regarding this. Knowing that I can trust him and his plans for my life, all I have to do is seek him.
Prayer Requests:
-Continued breakthroughs with my students: opportunities to talk to them about their relationships with God
- The ability to be consistent with my students
- Peace and complete confidence in God's promises
- Balance in the ways I spend my time
- Safety
