Valentimes is serious times.

It's Valentine's Day!

So many people loathe this holiday. Maybe it's because so many people don't see the point of it or they feel that they are lacking something on this day. You know, there are probably moments when I feel that way too. Of course I hope for that point in my life someday when God will send someone who will be able to serve with me and lead me towards Him. Someone to go through every day life with and who will eat my cooking. ;) While I know that I long for many of those things in my heart, I have to look at the blessings God has already given me. That's why on Valentine's Day I choose to celebrate the people that God has already put in my life. 

I have students who I get to serve on a daily basis. I get to love them. I get to tell them about God's love and pray for their lives to be impacted. 

I have friends who allow me to cook for them and give them treats. 

I have friends who will laugh with me and watch ridiculous Valentine's movies. 

I have a church family who loves me and gives me encouragement. (near and far) 

I have family members who send me blessings from far away. 

If I look at these things, I see I am not lacking people to love. I have a Savior who loves me dearly and pursues me each day. I pray for you my friends, that your heart and mine would be contented with just that today and the gifts that he has so beautifully given us.
