Chocolates and true love

Ahhhh Valentine's Day.
Some people hate it, but I love it. I've always loved it. It's a great day to give cards or little presents to all the people that I love. It's always been a day of celebrating friendship and what God has given me. I love providing joy to those who might otherwise dread this day. In return, this gives me joy!
My students came in this morning full of their usual energy and then some. One of the boys in my class comes up to me and says, "Here. Open this." and handed me a black trash bag. Inside was a little mug filled with chocolates and a mini balloon and bear. I also received several roses from my students and more candy... I think I've decided that Valentine's day is a lot of fun as a teacher.
God has been ever present in reminding me of his promises and his love lately. I thought I'd share a few of those thoughts with you.

1. Nothing in all of earth can separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 8:39) I talked with my students this morning the things that separate us from someone's love. Whether that is others loving us, or vice versa. We make so many mistakes, but I have been comforted in knowing that none of these matter. Even if I run away... Even if I sin... Even if I forget to come to him... No matter where I am at, I can't separate myself from his love and it will never leave me. How beautiful is that?

2. God works all things together for the good of those who LOVE him. (Romans 8:28) Once again a reminder that the good and the bad of my life is ultimately working together for my good.

3. I was reading an article that I was sent by a friend, it was about singleness but I think it is relate-able to anyone who ever feels discontent about life or wants to control their own future.
This is the link, but the quote that stuck out to me most was this:

Good news: this is the life of a Christian. My Father is working everything out. He will provide for me. Today, I have everything I need for life and godliness. Today, nothing good has been withheld from me. Today, He is ordaining every detail of my day for my good. Today, I don’t need to be anxious about anything because He will take care of me.

Amen. God is so good.
I hope and pray that all of you are doing well, I hold you in my heart.
For me, please pray for:
- My students, their focus has been way off lately and I have started feeling frustrated with them again.
- That I would be able to continue building relationships with them and they would see how much I care for them.
-That I would remain consistent and be able to be firm with my class without getting stressed out about it.
- That I would continue to learn more of God's promises and continue to grow closer to him.
Thank you so much for your prayers. Just a reminder that I would love to be praying for you as well, so email me or message me anything. Love! TKM (Te Quiero Mucho, spanish text messaging slang for I love you.)
