It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...or was that Thanksgiving?

Suddenly, today is November 25th. I will be flying home to the land of Indiana in less than 3 weeks! So here's what's been happening with me in the past few weeks: (and a few photos to document)

- Estee and I have been trying to make a Christmas musical happen... two weeks left... a little scary.
- I've been teaching. (duh)
 - We decorated our house for Christmas.
Also, I've made a new friend- Lindsay, who has been here student teaching with us. Sadly, she'll be leaving in just a few short weeks. But hopefully I'll be convincing her to stay.

 - I've baked pumpkin bars several times...probably too many. And made pumpkin Lattes to get my pumpkin fix.

-I've at times had way too much fun with my students.

 - I've taught with a wonderful fifth grade team... and yes we plan to color coordinate our clothes. ha.

- I've traveled to Utila for a wonderful beach vacation for Thanksgiving... pictures of that to come.

So that's what I've been doing. I am looking forward to Christmas, but just seeing how far God has brought me from last year. To see that although I am really excited for that and for a break, my heart is so much more content here. God has done some truly amazing things in my heart and also just provided me with so much joy here. This year, as I mentioned at the beginning of this school year I have been writing down 3 things I'm grateful for almost every day that I've been here since August. I jut have been recognizing that there are thousands of ways God has blessed us. I would love to share just a few with you before I close my blog for the day : )
- a computer to accomplish the work I need to on
- strength God provides to persevere
- a job that I love
- A God who gives second chances
-friends from church and the time I have to talk and share with tehm
- grocery shopping
-the ability to go to the gym
- the fact that God meets with me everyday, regardless whether I feel I'm in a valley or a mountain top.
- chances to connect with my students from last year
- a bed to sleep in, even when I don't want to get out
- peanut butter
- a clean house that the maid helps us with
- parents
- my housemates, the family they give me
-coffee
-fallish things
- God's peace
-my camp friends
- Buttonhood girls
-toothpaste
- God answers our prayers based on what is best for us, not on what we want
- Bible Study
- finding a new dress for 100 Lempiras
- A God who protects from danger we don't even know exists
- Misty's return and God's faithfulness to us
- Pictures and notes from home
- A God who can love so much better than I can
-Music- particularly Christmas Music
- The people I work with- such a great support
-massages
- cooler weather to make me want to drink warm things and snuggle under blankets
-vacations

Ok... there are too many more... and this is already too long. Maybe more than a few. I hope this gives you a little picture of my life right now and encourages you to find the joy in the blessings God has given you.
