Breathing in Grace
A lot has changed in the past few weeks. Some of these changes have been overwhelming, but I suppose I have to remind myself that if I feel like God's call for my life this year is to seek him more than ever before, he is going to present opportunities for that.
My largest current opportunity is being short-staffed in 5th grade. Unfortunately, one of my coworkers was unable to come back after Christmas break. This has been a significant challenge for myself and my other coworker. (Prayers would be appreciated as we try and help these students and find a new teacher). In the midst of all of this, I feel like God has provided me with more strength then I could ever have on my own. He has given me endless amounts of grace. Today, God put this song in my heart, so I hope you can appreciate it too. Whatever you are going through, God is so faithful.
My favorite parts of this song are "carried by your constant grace, held within your perfect peace" "Every step we are breathing in your grace, evermore we'll be breathing out your praise"
I am being carried through each day by his constant grace as I struggle at times to keep a smile on my face. And during all of that I am held in his perfect peace, only through him. And as I breathe in his grace, I pray each day to breathe out his praise. That my students and those around me would see that and also want to praise this God of abundant grace.
Standing on this mountaintop
Looking just how far we’ve come
Knowing that for every step
You were with us
Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You’ve done
Knowing every victory
Was Your power in us
Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone
Carried by Your constant grace
Held within Your perfect peace
Never once, no, we never walk alone
Every step we are breathing in Your grace
Evermore we’ll be breathing out Your praise
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
