I am definitely getting more accustomed to life here and getting more of a routine down. It's very different from my previous life as a teacher, because it just seems a lot more relaxed, however, as I gain more responsibilities that will likely change a bit.

Right now my tentative schedule looks something like this:
- Teach Bible Classes at a school in El Centro on Monday and Wednesday (More about this later in the post)
- Tuesday Bible Study with other missionaries at a local English speaking church, followed by lunch and fellowship. Time for paper work and working on lesson planning.
-Thursday: Language Training
Today i will be going and setting up a route to talk to people. Essentially, I find people that I can speak in Spanish to every week. Each week, I will meet with people, discuss a specific topic over and over again and note things that I didn't understand to work on. I will then meet with a bilingual friend who will help me with things I didn't understand and help me prepare some conversation points for the next week.
-Friday: More Language training: Morning meeting with another woman who is doing this style of language training with me. This is also a time where I will work on lesson planning and developing the Bible Curriculum.

In the evenings, I schedule meetings with friends, eat dinner with my dear roommate, finish things I didn't get done, relax, or sometimes watch a movie. It's only the basics right now.

I am super excited because the non Christian high school that PGO has been working at has seen a lot happening as a result of the Bible Classes. The principal has asked for more of them! There is also a possibility that the owners of the school would like to have Bible classes taught at the elementary school that they run. I am very excited about this possibility.

At least once a week or so, I get to travel up the mountain to Kim and Rick's house for meetings or prayer or planning. I have really enjoyed it. After you get out of the city and off the bus, you go down a small dirt road. The views are gorgeous, especially in the weather we've had lately.

This week, I got to do my first bible talks! Kim and I went into the small high school in El Centro and we taught in Spanish about the church and the importance of the church. We did a short team work activity to demonstrate how we need other people to accomplish things in our lives. Then we talked about being the body of Christ and how we work together, rejoice together, and suffer together. If we aren't a part of church we are much more susceptible to the devil's schemes. The kids were very attentive and gave me plenty of grace in my less than perfect spanish. By the end of the day I was completely exhausted. Teaching is tiring, but put the thinking in Spanish with it and my brain was very tired. However, I felt a lot of energy in my heart from doing something I love. I am excited to see if God brings opportunities for discipleship with some of these students, so you can pray for those opportunities!

Thank you for all your prayer so far! I am feeling much more comfortable and adjusted in the past few weeks. I am starting to feel like it's becoming more normal. Another answer to prayer is that although we haven't found a car yet, a friend of mine introduced me to a taxi driver who she is friends with. He is a Christian with a wife and an 8 year old daughter. I have felt so at peace being in a car with him. So while we search for a car, this is great!

Please continue to pray for:
- New relationships and opportunities
- Good boundaries in learning to say yes and no
- A car
- continued confidence in transitioning
